From a large consulting firm with hundreds of employees, to a lean startup where I was hire #8, (and some pro-bono consulting work sprinkled in between), I’ve tackled a diverse set of circumstances, industries, and challenges over a marketing leadership career spanning 13 years. B2B SaaS models? You bet. B2C brick-and-mortar education? Check. Professional services marketing? Yep.

Skill Application

Growing up as a nerd, and maturing into bonafide people-person, has set me up to uniquely bridge the gap between the technical and the personal — the relationship and the task. I bring the business narrative to the technical teams, and help the creative side of the organization absorb the need-to-knows of the technology. I lead with myself first, and collaboratively coach those around me through clear communication and a focus on customer outcomes.

Vision

I know where I want the team to grow, and where I want the organization to go. Striking a balance between what needs to be done today and where we want to be tomorrow comes through a decade of fine tuning goals, as well as celebrating successes. I keep a clear eye toward what might get in the way of the long game, and work hand-in-hand with my co-creators to see our collective vision through.

I’m passionate about helping people improve their lives and businesses through my work. If there is a theme that spans across all the organizations I’ve contributed to, its that we helped make meaningful, measurable change. Transparency, honesty, and teamwork are invaluable. I believe in inclusion and diversity of people and ideas. Companies should be focused on people first, and experience has proven that positive business results will necessarily follow.
